To support healthy parent-child relationships within families in Randolph County.


Area of Responsibility

  • Lead Circle of Parents programs to parents that will assist them in enhancing family life and improving parenting skills
  • Adhere to the curriculum for program fidelity
  • Participate in recruitment activates for program enrollment
  • Develop and maintain involvement with relevant community and professional organizations
  • Develop and evaluate program outcomes and compile reports
  • Contribute to reports for grant funding
  • Keep informed regarding welfare reforms impacting parents and their children
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and develop reports as required
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned


  • Perform other duties related to the Children's Home Society, Family Life Education, and Parent Education Team goals and projects as needed
  • Display sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
  • Uphold Children's Home Society's mission and core values when interacting with the community
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • Preference for the ability to teach in both English and Spanish
  • Experience with organizing community groups, providing educational programs, recruiting and training volunteers helpful
  • Maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle i to attend to CHS business
