Responsible for providing temporary assistance for Philanthropy in support of special events, fundraising, and stewardship activities. Duties include assisting with event preparation and execution, coordinating projects and communication with the public in a manner that positively reflects the image of the agency.


Area of Responsibility

  • Prepare and edit documents and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office programs
  • Assist with preparations for Philanthropy events. Task may include compiling materials for volunteers, communicating effectively with volunteers, and picking up materials for events from local vendors
  • Draft donor and volunteer written communication in collaboration with Philanthropy team
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with external partners and vendors
  • Generate and merge letters using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Enter and manage data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail


  • Display sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
  • Perform other duties related to department or division goals and projects as needed


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle to attend to CHS business
